Bobby Wyatt, 17, shoots 57 in Alabama junior event

Bobby Wyatt, one of the nation's best juniors, shot a 14-under par 57 at the Country Club of Mobile in the second round of the Alabama Golf Association State Boys Championship on Wednesday.

Wyatt, 17 and bound for the University of Alabama, had an eagle, seven birdies and a par on a front-nine of 26, the Birmingham News reported. He has taken a nine-stroke lead in the tournament.

Among those familiar with the CC of Mobile is PGA Tour player Stewart Cink, who had this to say about it on Twitter: "CC of Mobile is a course I know well. One of my favorites. Not a pushover by any stretch of the imagination..."

The CC of Mobile course was playing at 6,643 yards. Wyatt's round bettered the course record by six shots.

This is the 6th time this year that I've heard someone shoot 60 or less! What's happening? At this rate, Vision 54 is going to be that far fetched an idea soon. :wink:
